Leadership capability map

We do not offer a single curriculum. Instead, we work across six distinct capability areas. Each programme draws from the areas most relevant to your diagnostic profile.

Capability area Emerging leaders Mid-level leaders Senior / executive Transition leaders
Self-awareness and emotional regulation ✓ Core ✓ Deepened ✓ Systemic ✓ Reset
Strategic influence and stakeholder navigation ✓ Introduced ✓ Advanced ✓ Contextual
Team design, delegation, and accountability ✓ Foundational ✓ Refined ✓ Rebuilt
Decision-making under ambiguity ✓ Practised ✓ Mastered ✓ Reframed
Narrative leadership and communication ✓ Core ✓ Expanded ✓ Board-level
Resilience, energy management, and sustainable performance ✓ Awareness ✓ Habits ✓ Systems ✓ Recovery

Your development pathway

Phase one

Diagnostic deep-dive

We begin with a structured assessment: a combination of psychometric profiling, 360-degree feedback synthesis, and a facilitated self-reflection session. This gives us — and you — an honest baseline. No assumptions, no templated reports. The diagnostic typically takes two weeks and results in a personalised leadership profile document.

Phase two

Architecture and design

Using your diagnostic profile, we co-design a development architecture. This includes selecting capability areas, choosing delivery formats (coaching, cohort, immersive, or blended), and setting measurable milestones. We treat this like a strategic project, not a training calendar. You leave this phase with a clear map of what we will work on, why, and how we will know it is working.

Phase three

Active development

This is where the real work happens. Depending on your pathway, this phase involves one-to-one coaching sessions, facilitated peer-learning groups, scenario-based practice, or intensive residential immersions. Sessions are spaced to allow for real-world application between meetings. We integrate live leadership challenges from your actual role wherever possible.

Phase four

Integration and momentum

Development without integration fades. In this final phase, we conduct a progress review against your original milestones, build a self-sustaining practice plan, and — where appropriate — brief your sponsor or HR partner on outcomes. Many clients continue with lighter-touch advisory sessions beyond this phase.

Why most leadership development fails — and what we do differently

The leadership development industry has a well-documented problem: most programmes produce short-term enthusiasm and long-term forgetting. Research from the Centre for Creative Leadership suggests that fewer than one in four leadership interventions produce lasting behavioural change. The reasons are structural, not motivational.

First, most programmes are designed around content delivery rather than behaviour change. They teach models and frameworks without creating the conditions for practice. Second, they treat leadership as a set of skills rather than a set of relationships. You cannot learn to lead in isolation from the people you actually lead.

At Savvy Leadership Hub, we have built our entire approach around these two insights. Every engagement begins with a diagnostic that maps your real leadership relationships and challenges — not an abstract competency grid. And every development session is designed to produce a specific behavioural experiment that you run in your actual work context before the next session.

This is slower than a two-day workshop. It is also dramatically more effective. Our follow-up data shows that leaders who complete our full pathway sustain new behaviours at nearly three times the rate of those who attend traditional programmes. That is the difference between development that looks good on paper and development that changes how you show up every day.

Choose your programme format

Each format draws from the same capability map and methodology. The difference is structure, intensity, and investment.

Common questions before you begin

How is this different from executive coaching I have tried before?

Most executive coaching operates in isolation — a coach and a leader working on whatever surfaces in conversation. Our approach is more structured. We begin with a diagnostic that creates a shared evidence base, design a specific development architecture with measurable milestones, and integrate real-world practice between sessions. The coaching relationship is still central, but it sits inside a larger system designed for lasting change.

Can my organisation sponsor my participation?

Absolutely. Many of our individual coaching clients are sponsored by their employer. We provide a clear programme outline and expected outcomes document that makes it straightforward to secure internal approval. We can also brief your HR partner or sponsor at key milestones if that is helpful.

What qualifications do your practitioners hold?

Our lead practitioners hold accredited coaching qualifications from bodies including the International Coaching Federation and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Beyond credentials, each practitioner brings a minimum of fifteen years of leadership experience in operational or strategic roles. We do not employ junior coaches or recent graduates.

Is the fit-check quiz a real diagnostic?

The quiz on this page is a simplified orientation tool — it helps us understand your starting context before a conversation. The full diagnostic we use in our programmes is significantly more rigorous, incorporating validated psychometric instruments, structured interviews, and multi-rater feedback. Think of the quiz as a conversation starter, not a clinical assessment.
